ZACATLÁN AND GHIGNAHUAPAN
MAGICAL TOWNS

The best combination!

Why will you love it?

  • This trip is an excellent combination of nature, culture, and gastronomy. The northern mountains of Puebla are characterized by its beautiful Pueblos Mágicos (Magical Towns) where their traditions are preserved.

  • Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Quetzalapa waterfall and see its cascading waterfall descending the 300 steps to reach the viewing platform. A unique experience.

  • In Zacatlán Pueblo Mágico, you'll visit the fruit wine factory, where they'll explain the winemaking process and you'll be able to taste the wines. You'll also visit an artisan bakery to try and learn about the process of making the traditional cheese bread. You'll walk through its streets to reach the Barranca Mural, nearly 100 meters long, made with pieces of mosaic in various colors and recycled glass. There, you'll have a beautiful view from the Mirador toward the Barranca de los Jilgueros (Goldfinches Ravine). In the center, you'll visit the former Franciscan Convent palace and floral clock. You'll have free time to visit the Museum of Monumental Clocks. You'll be amazed by the Automata, human figures programmed to chime at various times, accompanied by clockwork bell music.

  • Afterward, we'll depart for the magical town of Chignahuapan, whose main industry is the making of Christmas ornaments. We'll visit a workshop and see the process. If you'd like, you can decorate your own ornament (not included in the tour price). In this same town, we'll visit the 12-meter-high Virgin of the Conception, the monument to Capulina, the famous Mexican comedian, and its beautiful Mudejar-style kiosk.

  • We'll depart back to Puebla at approximately 12 noon. Come and see Puebla. You won't regret it!
